Ms. Aparna Sharma

Born on 8th November 1964 in Village Baggi, District Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. I got my education from Govt. Higher Secondary School, Mandi and did B.Sc. from St. Bede’s College, Shimla and L.L.M. from H.P. University, Shimla. I practiced as an advocate at Shimla for 14 years from 1986 to 2000 in District Courts and Hon’ble High Court of H.P. I was selected to the H.P. Judicial Service on11th December 2000 and joined as Sub Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate 1st class (Court No. 2), Hamirpur. I was posted as such at Mandi and Nurpur. I was promoted to the post of Civil Judge (Sr. Div.)-cum- JMIC in May 2006 at Nahan. I joined as Civil Judge (Sr. Division)-cum-JMIC (I), Hamirpur on 6th August 2009 and worked as such till 7th May, 2010 and at Una till 6th July, 2012. On my transfer to Kangra, I joined as Civil Judge (Sr. Div)-Cum¬JMIC (I), Kangra on18-07-2012 and remained posted as such till13-05-2013. On my placement as Chief Judicial Magistrate, I was transferred and posted as Civil Judge (Sr. Div.)-cum-Chief Judicial Magistrate Chamba and joined as such on 20-05-2013. In July, 2015, I was posted as Addl. Secretary to the State of H.P., at Shimla and remained as such till May, 2016. On promotion, I was posted as Addl. District and Sessions Judge –II Shimla on 5th May, 2016. Transferred and posted as Additional District & Sessions Judge-II, Mandi on 24-12-2018 and remained posted as such till 01-01-2020. Thereafter, transferred and posted as Additional District & Sessions Judge-I, Mandi on 01-01-2020 and remained posted as such till 06-03-2020. Assumed charge as Additional District and Sessions Judge, Fast Track Special Court, Mandi on 06-03-2020. Remained posted as Additional District & Sessions Judge – II, Shimla on w.e.f. 09.08.2021 to 03.12.2021. Remained posted as Additional District & Sessions Judge – I, Shimla w.e.f. 03.12.2021 to 25.03.2023. Thereafter, upon placement assumed the charge as District & Sessions Judge (Family Court), Shimla on 25.03.2023.
